Goodbye 2010... Hello 2011!

The end of a year is a time for reflection... thoughts about how the previous year impacted our life, and perhaps resolutions for how we would like to change our lives or ourselves for the better during the next year. For me, this project has definitely had an impact on my life. There were some points when it felt like it was taking over my life, but ultimately, it has taught me more than I ever imagined about my photography. I have learned new skills. I have fine tuned some basic ones. I have learned many editing techniques to enhance my images. I have documented many events in my life during the past year. And most importantly, I have learned how to view my life in a new way.
While I unfortunately realize that I did not complete my year-long project successfully in the sense that there were days when I did not manage to capture an image, it does not deter me from the mission of continuing to challenge myself to take at least one photo each and every day. Maybe not ever image I will take will be blog worthy, but I still want to encourage myself to try new things and capture my world through my camera lens.
The blog will remain, but it is getting a new look and my posting will be a bit more streamlined in 2011. I have decided to not continue posting technical info about all my images, but please feel free to ask if you want to know the specs of an image. Who knows where the next 365 days will take me, but I am looking forward to the ride, and thanks for following along with me!
